The Orbea Terra M30 Team is a carbon gravel bike designed to balance efficient riding with the comfort, control and practicality needed for longer adventures. Gravel-specific geometry, high-volume tyres and extensive mounting options make it well suited to everything from faster mixed-surface rides to bikepacking and long-distance gravel.
The OMR carbon frame uses monocoque construction with a carbon layup designed to balance stiffness, strength and compliance. Orbea has engineered the frame to help filter vibrations from rough gravel surfaces, reducing some of the fatigue that can build up over longer rides while retaining an efficient pedalling platform.
Dedicated gravel geometry aims to provide predictable handling when surfaces become loose or uneven without making the bike feel cumbersome on smoother sections. The frame uses a 12x142mm rear thru-axle and UDH dropout, with the latter making replacement derailleur hangers easier to source and providing compatibility with a growing range of drivetrains.
The full carbon Orbea Terra Race ICR fork uses a tapered steerer and 12x100mm thru-axle. Carbon construction helps keep weight down while providing some vibration damping, while Orbea's MMS multi-mount system adds secure mounting points for carrying additional equipment.
Shimano GRX provides a 2x12-speed drivetrain designed specifically around mixed-surface riding. RX610 shifters are paired with RX820 front and rear derailleurs, while a 46/30T GRX chainset and 11-36T cassette provide a broad overall range.
Compared with a 1x gravel drivetrain, the 2x12 setup provides smaller steps between ratios while retaining useful low gearing for steep climbs and loaded riding. This makes it particularly well suited to riders covering long distances and varied terrain, where maintaining a comfortable cadence can be as important as having a very low climbing gear.
Shimano GRX RX410 hydraulic disc brakes provide predictable braking with relatively little lever effort. Good modulation helps when managing grip on loose surfaces, while hydraulic operation provides consistent speed control on longer descents and in changing weather conditions.
The 700c alloy wheels use 21mm internal-width rims and are tubeless ready. A compatible tubeless setup allows you to experiment with lower pressures for additional grip and comfort, while sealant can help deal with many of the smaller punctures commonly encountered on gravel rides.
Vittoria Terreno T30 Gravel Endurance tyres come in a generous 700x45c width. Their fine, fast-rolling tread is designed for hardpack and finer loose gravel, while the additional tyre volume provides cushioning and traction when surfaces become rougher.
A 27.2mm SP 0.2 carbon seatpost adds another source of compliance between the rider and rough surfaces while keeping weight down. It's paired with a 140mm Fizik Terra Argo X7 saddle designed with gravel riding in mind.
The OC Gravel GR31 handlebar uses a compact 70mm reach and 110mm drop, providing multiple hand positions for longer rides while giving you a secure position in the drops when descending or tackling rougher sections.
Orbea's MMS system provides multiple mounting points across the frame and fork, giving you options for securely carrying bottles, bags and other equipment. Front and rear mudguard compatibility also makes the Terra easier to adapt for wet-weather riding and year-round use.
LOCKR XXL storage is integrated into the frame, providing a useful place to carry tools, food, clothing or other smaller ride essentials. The updated XXL design offers 35% more internal volume than Orbea's previous LOCKR system, helping free up space in your pockets or external bags.
The frame is also power meter compatible, giving riders interested in training, pacing or long-distance events the option to add power measurement later.
With its OMR carbon frameset, GRX 2x12 drivetrain, 45mm tyres and extensive carrying options, the Terra M30 Team is a versatile choice for riders who mix everyday gravel riding with longer adventures. The closer gear ratios of the 2x drivetrain are particularly useful if your routes regularly combine road, gravel and significant changes in gradient.
