Breathable UpperSupplying you with protection, breathability and durability on the trails, the Clouldultra 2 Pros have a breathable upper with combined materials to supply you with the perfect microclimate, where feet will thrive. A double-layered mesh made from 100% recycled polyester materials contains your feet comfortably, supplying you with an enjoyable, comfortable ride, whilst enhancing the breathability of the shoe. To ensure that overheating is prevented and your feet are cool and comfortable throughout your run, the perforations in the fabric allow air to flow freely, preventing a moisture build-up and keeping your feet cosy. To further protect feet from knocks and bumps on the trail, the shoes have a lightweight reinforced rip structure to keep things shielded. Additionally, quarter panels inside the shoes, provide a better midfoot lockdown, therefore enhancing your stability on the trail. An improved heel comfort also assists in keeping your foot stable, and with stitching removed to prevent discomfort, and irritation from occurring, allowing you to remain focused on the trail ahead. The knitted sock construction fits like a second skin and allows an easier step-in, whilst being more lightweight and extremely breathable. The shoes have a traditional lace-up construction to ensure a secure, locked-in fit, with lace elastic to allow you to store lace endings safely, and a flip release system that allows you to adjust the forefoot volume of the shoes.
Advanced Midsole and OutsoleA combination of outstanding technologies and materials reside underfoot to provide you with an exceptional level of cushioning comfort and stability on the trail. Utilising advanced cushioning technology, the Clouldultra Pro 2 Trail Running Shoes utilise On's unique CloudTec construction, which works alongside Helion superfoam to supply you with a perfect level of underfoot cushioning and energy return. This combination of materials will provide you with a balanced level of cushioning to keep your feet comfortable and provide a soft landing on the trails, whilst simultaneously absorbing impact, reducing strain and adapting well to your running style. Reacting according to your unique movements, CloudTec compresses horizontally and vertically to cushion just where it should. The horizontal deformation of the Clouds as you run does more than just absorb impact, reduce braking force and propel you forward. It also helps prevent injury so you can run pain-free.
Working alongside this, the shoes have a TPU Speedboard plate to increase rolling sensations, allowing a more natural stride. The plate will provide you with propulsion and enhance explosive take-offs during every stride, by bending and flexing with your run to propel you forward, faster assisting you when hitting the trail. The outsole includes high-abrasion rubber pods to provide you with a strong grip on the road no matter the weather condition. In order to keep you stable and provide grip on varying terrain, the shoes utilise a newly updated MissionGrip outsole, which features squared lugs in the heel and forefoot, as well as, multi-angled lugs in the shank and toe area. Not only this, but the outsole construction has a slightly more refined width in the midfoot and forefoot, for a lighter base, and more ground contact and traction.
