Slate is the bike you never know you wanted. It seams like a fever dream. It's no dull gravel bike, it's a full tilt road bike with legit off road chops. It's a drop bar bike with a lefty fork. It's got massive tyres, yet still boasts road bike quickness. It's like nothing you've seen before yet somehow, it's everything you hoped it would be. Float over potholes, boost off curbs, stick impossible lean angles, rail down trails or just bring a little excitement to the next group ride. On Slate, fun is the only mission
The Slate is
- The most absurdly fun road bike ever created
- The bike for people who want to ride roads without having a "road ride"
- The most all around capable road bike ever
The Slate is designed to offer incredibly fun, snappy road bike handling with real, off road capability. Rider position is aggressive and performance oriented - equivalent to the Head Up Race position. The 650b x 42c wheel/tyre combo enable the bike to offer serious traction and float with the 42c tyres, whilst keeping the same short chain stay length as a SuperSix Evo, which keeps things agile and quick. To provide stability and confidence when things get rough, the front-centre distance is increased via a longer top tube and slacker head angle. the result? A bike that rails corners like a race bike, tracks effortlessly through chatter and bumps, and provides more smile per turn than any other road bike ever made
